BIOSTARS participates in Doñana Terra Innova workshop in Pilas to promote rural innovation and sustainable local development

15/04/2026

On 9 April 2026, the Asociación para el Desarrollo de la Comarca Aljarafe-Doñana (ADAD) took part in a local innovation workshop organised within the framework of the Doñana Terra Innova initiative, led by Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía (CTA). The event brought together around 50 regional stakeholders to identify and support innovative ideas contributing to the sustainable development of the Doñana Natural Area and its surrounding municipalities.

The session included 25 bilateral advisory meetings aimed at helping local entities refine project ideas and explore funding opportunities, reinforcing collaboration between public authorities, innovation actors and rural organisations.

Through the participation of ADAD and CTA, partners of the BIOSTARS project, the workshop also contributed to strengthening local innovation ecosystems aligned with the project’s mission to foster bioeconomy start-up villages in Mediterranean rural areas. Initiatives such as Doñana Terra Innova create valuable opportunities to identify emerging ideas, connect stakeholders and support entrepreneurship as a driver of territorial transformation.
These synergies further consolidate BIOSTARS’ role in promoting sustainable innovation pathways tailored to rural contexts across the Mediterranean region.
