BIOSTARS presents its toolbox to local stakeholders in the Aljarafe–Doñana area

12/06/2026

BIOSTARS continues engaging local actors to support rural innovation and bioeconomy development in the Aljarafe–Doñana territory.

BIOSTARS held a second local stakeholder meeting on 9 June in Pilas (Spain), hosted by the project partner ADAD (Grupo de Desarrollo Rural Aljarafe-Doñana). The session brought together local actors from the Aljarafe–Doñana area to learn about the latest project developments and explore opportunities to foster innovation and circular bioeconomy initiatives in the territory.

A key focus of the event was the presentation of the BIOSTARS Toolbox and other project advances. Participants were introduced to the resources, tools and methodologies being developed to support rural communities, entrepreneurs and local organisations in identifying and implementing sustainable bioeconomy solutions tailored to their regional context.

The meeting also included an interactive discussion on the next steps of the project. Stakeholders shared their views on local challenges, opportunities and priorities, providing valuable feedback that will contribute to the further refinement of BIOSTARS activities and tools.

Organised by ADAD with the active participation of Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía (CTA), the event forms part of BIOSTARS’ ongoing efforts to promote stakeholder engagement and co-creation processes, ensuring that project outcomes respond effectively to the needs and ambitions of rural Mediterranean territories.
