The BIOSTARS project has launched a new LinkedIn group aimed at creating a dynamic space for young people, entrepreneurs, innovators and stakeholders interested in rural innovation, bioeconomy and sustainability across the Mediterranean region.
Called “BIOSTARS Youth Platform”, the group has been created as an open community where ideas, experiences and opportunities linked to the rural bioeconomy can be shared and discussed. The initiative is part of BIOSTARS’ broader mission to support the development of startup villages and strengthen innovation ecosystems in rural Mediterranean territories.
The group’s description reflects this vision clearly:
“A space for ideas, innovation and rural opportunities.
Discover bioeconomy, share your ideas and explore opportunities to create your own project in rural areas.”
Through this new community, BIOSTARS aims to encourage participation and dialogue around topics such as:
- Bioeconomy and circular economy explained through practical and accessible examples
- Real stories of young entrepreneurs and inspiring rural projects
- Funding, training and European opportunities for young people
- Discussions, challenges and interactive content designed to engage the community
The first publication shared in the group highlights the importance of involving younger generations in shaping the future of rural innovation and sustainable territories, inviting users to connect, exchange ideas and explore new opportunities together.
The communication approach of the group will combine informative, inspirational and participatory content, while also showcasing real initiatives from different BIOSTARS territories. According to the internal communication guidelines, the community will place special emphasis on making innovation and bioeconomy more understandable, accessible and connected to real territorial needs.
The group will also share information about European programmes and opportunities such as LEADER, Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps, LIFE, EIP-AGRI and Interreg, helping young people better understand how these initiatives can support ideas and projects in rural areas.
BIOSTARS partners and stakeholders are encouraged to join the group, promote it within their territories and contribute with ideas, inspiring initiatives and local success stories that can enrich the community and foster collaboration across regions.
