12/12/2025

As part of the BIOSTARS project, the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency (SERDA) organized a stakeholder meeting on 14 November 2025 in Sarajevo, bringing together representatives of local authorities, public utility companies, civil society organizations and local businesses.

During the meeting, the BIOSTARS project was presented, with a focus on its ongoing activities and achieved results. Participants were also informed about the identified needs in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the corresponding opportunities for replication, offering a comprehensive overview of the local context and development potential in the field of sustainable and circular bioeconomy.

A constructive discussion followed, during which participants exchanged views on the current state of the circular bioeconomy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and explored opportunities for developing social innovations that can support sustainable local growth. The contributions gathered will feed into the preparation of the document Matching Needs of BIOSTARS Transfer Territories.

This stakeholder meeting reflects SERDA’s commitment to fostering cooperation, promoting innovative and environmentally sustainable solutions, and supporting the advancement of local communities in line with the objectives of the BIOSTARS project.
