BIOSTARS meets with local authorities in Amyntaio

30/10/2025

As part of the BIOSTARS project, one of our partners met on 16 October with representatives of the Municipality of Amyntaio, an associated partner of the project.

During the meeting at the Amyntaio City Hall, the project was presented and upcoming activities were discussed. The Mayor and the President of the Municipal Council attended the meeting, highlighting the municipality’s commitment to supporting the bioeconomy transition at the local level.

Amyntaio’s participation in BIOSTARS reflects its strategy for green transition and rural innovation, fostering collaboration between local authorities, research centres and businesses to promote sustainable growth in Western Macedonia.

A local online newspaper has published an article about the event, showcasing how BIOSTARS is connecting research and entrepreneurship to build bioeconomy start-up villages across the Mediterranean. Read the full article in the local media here.
