The European BIOSTARS project was present at the final conference of the BIOLOC project, held on 24 September at the Politecnico di Torino in a hybrid format.
Our partner CERTH, represented by Chrysovalantis Ketikidis, participated in the round table on governance for the regional transition to the bioeconomy, alongside other initiatives funded by Horizon Europe.
This meeting highlighted how European projects can strengthen local bioeconomy ecosystems through inclusive governance, social innovation and regional cooperation.
BIOSTARS shared its experience in promoting bioeconomy start-up villages in rural Mediterranean areas, showing how understanding local needs, enhancing the value of local resources and building capacity are key to sustainable and fair change.
This collaboration reinforces the common commitment of European projects to a more inclusive and transformative bioeconomy.
